Are You Happy With The Shape Of Your Teeth?

Most everyone knows that a smile is important. A healthy, vibrant smile with straight white teeth can go a very long way. Research indicates that it can get you more dates, more attention, more smiles, more jobs, and more money! If you are unhappy with your smile, you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars for a complete smile makeover. Sometimes all you need is a quick, easy fix. Are you happy with the shape of your teeth? If not, perhaps you should consider dental contouring.

What is Dental Contouring?

Dental contouring is an easy, quick, and affordable way to improve your smile by improving the shape of your teeth. If you think your teeth are too long, misshapen, or if you have “vampire teeth” (pointy bicuspids), you may well benefit from dental contouring.

How is it Done?

Before recommending dental contouring, your dentist will take X-rays to make sure you have a sufficient amount of, and strong enough, tooth enamel for the procedure. If so, the contouring will be performed using shaping tools to sculpt the slightest bit of tooth enamel from the teeth in question. Smoothing and polishing will then take place.

Are you a Candidate for Contouring?

If you are unhappy with the shape of your teeth and smile due to any of the following reasons, you may be a candidate for dental contouring:

  • Teeth that are too big or too long
  • Teeth that are uneven
  • Pointy bicuspids or “vampire teeth”
  • Oddly shaped teeth
  • Slightly overlapping teeth
